Duncan Fletcher 'keen' to coach Black Caps

Last Updated on Wednesday, November 04, 2009, 19:08 IST

London: Former England cricket team coach Duncan Fletcher says that he is `keen` on coaching the Black Caps, following the exit of Andy Moles.

Fletcher, who works as an adviser with South Africa, has not coached fulltime since leaving England after the 2007 World Cup, The Dominion Post reports.

New Zealand Cricket boss Justin Vaughan has said that he would not disclose any candidates, but told a cricket website "it`s fair to say that there has been a lot of interest from around the world".

New Zealand is in need of a coach after Andy Moles resigned following reports that senior players did not rate his ability very high.
